How can i get the cheat code bar for Sims 2 to come up?

i am trying and trying to get the cheat code bar to come up but every time i press ctrl + shift+ c it doesnt work. I have tried this code before but for some reason its not working now
any solutions?

   hmmm idk…maybe its a glitch??? restart your computer and try again. Are you holding them down after you press them so that they are three being pushed??? Huh well I now that must be frusturating. Sorry I cant help much!! Good luck!!
